Hidy Ochiai

Hidehiko Hidy Ochiai is a Japaneseborn martial arts instructor, author, and actor, residing in Broome County, NY. Hidy Ochiai is credited with establishing the WashinRyu style of karate in the United States. He was the winner of the United States Grand National Karate Championship five consecutive times. Hidy Ochiai was also inducted into the Black Belt Magazine Hall of Fame twiceas Instructor of the Year for Japanese Arts in 1979 and as Man of the Year in 1980.
